Surrendering their lives to show that Jesus Christ can satisfy their heart’s deepest needs, seven Brothers professed their vows this July in two separate, joyous celebrations.

These Brothers have become more than religious influences; they are family to us.

For the past 10 years, I have had the supreme privilege to serve as the General Superior of the Brotherhood of Hope. I can assure you that I never expected this honor to come to me. Well, as we know, life is full of surprises and my election to be General Superior was one of those.

The invitation for us to begin a campus ministry this fall at the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa, is the latest example of God anointing the Brotherhood’s life and mission.

People often ask, “What is your approach to campus ministry?” or “How has it changed over the years?” Several of the Brothers have drafted “Our Vision for Campus Ministry” to help answer these questions.

We Brothers want to share with you the news that we will be ending our ministry in the Catholic Student Union (CSU) at Florida State University (FSU) effective June 30, 2023.

Over the years we have shared some of the not commonly known skills, interests and talents of individual Brothers to help show that we are definitely more interesting than we look in our black pants and gray shirts. We hope you enjoy the latest of these revelations on what makes us tick!

It’s very gratifying to support the Brotherhood of Hope’s noble mission and, hopefully, help them expand their reach.

About a decade ago, we started Missionary Core as a small group program with the goal of helping college students develop a deeper formation of their interior faith life.

While each student is unique, we follow a simple three-step path of direct, one-on-one evangelization to help them become grounded in Jesus Christ and the Church.
